Scholarship/Grant Information

The Walker Street Conservancy (the “Conservancy”) maintains a high level of confidentiality with respect to your scholarship application information. The Chair of the Scholarship Committee, the Conservancy President, and our IT Lead are the only individuals who have knowledge of the names of scholarship applicants. For all other individuals in the scholarship review process, the names of the scholarship applicants are not disclosed. However, your name may be disclosed to third parties solely to verify the information submitted on the application. The Conservancy may share your scholarship application information with the Conservancy scholarship committee and the Conservancy Board members to assist in determining who receives a scholarship. Upon making an award, the Conservancy may share your information with your high school, college, and/or university (collectively “third parties”). This limited sharing of your application information is used by the Conservancy to send correspondence, provide student support, or to arrange for deliveries of scholarship packets and other related materials. Such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except in performance of their services for the Conservancy relating to your scholarship application, and all third parties are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information. The Conservancy does not sell, trade, or exchange your scholarship application information. From time to time, the names of scholarship recipients may be listed in press releases and on the Conservancy website. By applying for a scholarship, a successful recipient is granting permission to the Conservancy to list their name in press releases, on the Conservancy website, and other Conservancy materials.
